Tire pressure rises and falls with temperature — roughly 1 PSI for every 10°F. Set your tires to 32 PSI on a 70°F afternoon and a 40°F cold morning will read about 29 PSI, which is why the low-pressure light often appears on the first cold day. This calculator applies that rule to show the pressure at a new temperature.
Always set pressure to the door-jamb spec when tires are cold, and re-check with the seasons. The rule is approximate; heat from driving also raises pressure a few PSI.
