How the Belt Size Calculator Works

A belt should be about two inches larger than your pant (waist) size, so the buckle sits comfortably on the middle hole with room on either side. If you wear 34-inch pants, buy a 36-inch belt. This accounts for the belt threading through loops and the extra needed to fasten.

If you’re between sizes or wear your pants higher or lower, size up. Belt sizes are usually given in inches, sometimes in EU centimeters.

belt size = pant/waist size + 2 inches
