How the Business Days Calculator Works

Business days are the weekdays — Monday through Friday — that most offices, banks and shipping services run on. This calculator counts the working days between two dates, or adds a number of business days to a date to find a deadline, skipping every Saturday and Sunday along the way.

It handles the calendar automatically, including month ends and leap years. Note that it counts weekends only; public holidays vary by country and region, so subtract any that fall in your range for an exact figure.

business days = weekdays between the dates, weekends skipped

Frequently Asked Questions

How many business days are between two dates?

Count only Monday to Friday. Enter the two dates and the calculator skips weekends to give the working-day total.

How do I add business days to a date?

Switch to add mode and enter the number. The calculator steps forward day by day, counting only weekdays, to land on the result date.

Does it account for holidays?

No — it excludes weekends only. Public holidays differ by location, so remove any in your range for an exact count.
