How the Dice Roller Works

Choose how many dice and how many sides — from a four-sided d4 up to a hundred-sided d100 — and press Roll. Each die is rolled independently, every face equally likely, and the tool adds them up. It covers standard board games and the full set of polyhedral dice used in tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Beyond the total, it lists each individual roll and the highest and lowest, so you can apply game rules like “drop the lowest” or read a d20 check at a glance. No physical dice, and nothing to lose under the sofa.

each die = 1 + random fraction × sides  ·  total = sum of the dice

Frequently Asked Questions

What dice can I roll?

Any number of dice with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or 100 sides — the standard board-game and tabletop RPG set. Set the count and sides, then Roll.

Is each die fair?

Yes. Every face has an equal chance on each roll, and the dice are rolled independently of one another.

Can I see individual rolls?

Yes. The tool shows each die’s result plus the highest and lowest, so you can apply rules like advantage or drop-the-lowest.
