How the Days Until Calculator Works
Pick a target date and this calculator counts how many days there are between today and that date — a countdown to a holiday, deadline, birthday or event. It also shows the gap in weeks and months, the number of business days, and which day of the week the target falls on.
Today’s date comes from your own device, so the count is always current. If the date has already passed, the calculator says how many days ago it was.

How many days until a date?
Subtract today’s date from the target date. Enter your target and the calculator shows the countdown in days, weeks and months, plus the weekday it falls on.
What if the date already passed?
The calculator recognises it and reports how many days ago the date was, rather than a negative number.
How many business days until then?
It counts weekdays (Monday–Friday) between today and the target and reports that separately. Public holidays are not removed, as they differ by country and region.
