How the PTO Calculator Works

To turn an annual PTO allowance into an accrual rate, convert the days to hours (days × hours per workday) and divide by the number of pay periods a year. 15 days at 8 hours is 120 hours a year; over 26 biweekly pay periods that’s about 4.62 hours of PTO earned each paycheck.
