How the ACT to SAT Calculator Works

Colleges treat the ACT and SAT as interchangeable, using an official concordance table published jointly by ACT and the College Board to compare them. This calculator takes your ACT composite (1–36) and returns the equivalent SAT total (400–1600), along with a small range because concordance is approximate.

For example, an ACT of 28 concords to about an SAT of 1310, and a perfect 36 concords to roughly 1590. Use it to see how your ACT stacks up against SAT-based admissions data.
