How the Creatinine Clearance Calculator Works

The Cockcroft-Gault equation estimates the kidneys’ creatinine clearance (CrCl) from a patient’s age, sex, body weight and serum creatinine. It is widely used to guide renal dosing of medications. Enter the four values and the calculator returns an estimate in millilitres per minute.
